I’m a Florida native, as is my husband, children, parents etc. And we love our state. My husband and I love our city. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. This is home. And although Orlando is synonymous with Disney world, there is so much more. Natural Florida, the wild palm trees, rivers, springs, wildlife, coasts nearby..it’s not all theme parks. Don’t get me wrong, we go to Disney once a month! But I adore Florida’s natural beauty and it’s state parks. My daughter and I set out this morning to visit Blue Springs and tomorrow we’ll visit another park. I had a true appreciation for the park this time, I wasn’t chaperoning a school field trip with chaos, I was enjoying a warm, beautiful spring day and taking in Florida’s natural beauty.

The water is so crystal clear and a warm 72 degrees year round. The Atlantic right now is a chilly 58 degrees!

This is 100% crop to get a closer view of an alligator basking on the bank.

Love our palm trees. Midday with the warm sun shining overhead.

It’s always a treat if you get to see a manatee. Very windy day as you can see from the ripples on the water’s surface.

And lastly, miss Samantha.

I love using my studio lights, it makes my job so much easier, but nothing beats beautiful natural light coming through a window.
My Baby….Love….

You’d think with having a baby in the house all day long I’d be able to get a dozen perfect shots, not the case! I call these “hit and run” shots because it’s always spur of the moment, but I love experimenting with new props and capturing her beauty! Here I thought I could get a quick shot after a long nap and not feeding her first, as you can see she was less then enthused!
